Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Long (ranked 3442 p4p, 3152 weight class) and Peoples Champion (ranked 410 p4p, 380 weight class). Champion has chosen Aegukka as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Champion takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Long tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Long seems to have got his legs back now.
Long tries a knee to the head but Champion blocks it.

Champion's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Champion has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Champion cracks Long with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Long tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Champion pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Long is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Peoples Champion!
In his post fight interview, Peoples Champion started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
