The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maximus shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Syrian sprawls well. Syrian wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Maximus gets slowly back to his feet.
A bone on bone clash there as Syrian blocks the leg kick.

Ashur Syrian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Melvis Maximus.
A jab from Maximus misses.
