Venegas dives in for a single leg takedown but Houle sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Houle let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Houle misses with a hook to the ribs.

Houle tries to throw a body punch but Venegas avoids it by throwing Houle back against the cage.

Venegas 's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Houle is holding on here and Venegas must be using up a lot of energy. Houle has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Venegas gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
