The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sova lands a jab.
Bear shoots in looking for a takedown. Sova tries to sprawl out of it but Bear keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sova manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The fighters circle momentarily. Sova darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
It looks like Russian Bear has been cut.
Bear throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sova's waist but Sova gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bear off to one side.

Sova takes the fight into the clinch.
Bear drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sova pulls his leg out and moves away.
