Takala stalks Payton and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Payton's face. Payton staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Walter Payton has been cut.
A slapping leg kick lands for Takala.
Payton jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Good exchange - Takala coming out on top.
Payton throws an overhand right that lands on Takala's shoulder, as Takala tries to avoid the shot.

I was talking to Takala's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Takala backs away from a small jab... but Payton lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Takala crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Payton with a spectacular finish!

A very excited looking Walter Payton rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Anderson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Anderson showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Randy wants to get back to full guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Anderson.
Anderson shoots for a double leg takedown but Randy sprawls well. He's pushed Anderson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Randy has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Anderson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Randy.
