Sane lands a left and a right that send Richards crashing to the mat, dazed. Sane thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Sane circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Richards to the canvas! Richards doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Sane keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Shields shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Silva napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Shields thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Silva is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Shields is controlling him well.

Shields misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
