Pugsley is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Yamato is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Yamato flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Pugsley anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Yamato and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Pugsley slips an arm under Yamato chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Pugsley has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Pugsley is squeezing on Yamato like an anaconda would it's prey. Yamato fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

I think Montoya might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Other thing. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Robert Kelly was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thibodeaux drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Kelly is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
