Merel is looking to cinch up a triangle. Nickle throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Merel's body to avoid the submission. Merel has instead reached around Nickle's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Merel arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hatfield enables Tonon to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hatfield manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Tonon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Hatfield is looking to stand up but Tonon isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Hatfield manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Hatfield throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Hatfield is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Hatfield counters with a crisp one two that drops Tonon! Hatfield thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Tonon to his feet! Tonon is in big trouble!

and Hatfield counters with a huge left! Tonon is in big trouble! He's backing up but Hatfield isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Tonon from any more damage. A dominating finish by Hatfield!
