Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yago Nascimento (ranked 42 p4p, 289 weight class) and Butch Frewin (ranked 4 p4p, 17 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Butch Frewin was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nascimento tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Frewin was well out of range. Poor timing from Nascimento.
And Frewin responds with a good body kick, but Nascimento manages to step out the way in time.
Nascimento keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Frewin.
Frewin misses with a hook.
Frewin takes one to the side of the head.
Nascimento cracks Frewin with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Nascimento looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

enabling Frewin to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Yago Nascimento has been cut.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been informed that Frewin has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Frewin clobbers Nascimento with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Nascimento thuds his right hand into Frewin's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

As Frewin backs away, Nascimento returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Frewin lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

and Nascimento counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Frewin slips a straight right by Nascimento.
Nascimento throws a body punch but Frewin moves out of range.

Frewin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

BOOM! Frewin lands a beautiful left hook that drops Nascimento. Nascimento tries to recover but Frewin is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Nascimento lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
