Horrible takedown attempt by Harris or perhaps it was just good defense by Couture, which made it look bad.

so Couture counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Harris wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Couture manages to pass to side control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Couture avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Harris throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
As Harris backs away, Couture returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Harris uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Couture.
Harris appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Couture is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Couture lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Harris has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Harris and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Harris tries to score a power double leg takedown but Couture sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Harris somewhat.
Couture uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Harris.
Harris looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Felipe Couture has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of JJ Harris.
Couture moves out of range as Harris throws a body kick.
It looked like Couture wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Couture swats away the attempt to clinch by Harris.
A little feinted left hand from Couture on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Couture wants to sweep here but Harris controlling him for the moment.

JJ Harris has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Felipe Couture is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Couture is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

I would just about give that final round to JJ Harris.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Johns (ranked 1937 p4p, 2061 weight class) and Jasper Leeuwenhoek (ranked 252 p4p, 265 weight class). Johns comes to the cage accompanied by Gimme That Boom. Jasper Leeuwenhoek told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Leeuwenhoek is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Johns looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Leeuwenhoek has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Johns clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Leeuwenhoek tries to get the hooks in deep but Johns pushed the leg off.
Leeuwenhoek looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Leeuwenhoek is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Johns knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Leeuwenhoek on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Leeuwenhoek is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Johns has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Johns won't enjoy being in this position. Leeuwenhoek looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Johns is tapping - it's over boys! Leeuwenhoek picks up the submission victory!
