Takahashi comes to the cage accompanied by SMOKING & THINKING. Vice has chosen Vice as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryoto Takahashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Miami Vice!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahashi looks to throw a body kick
and Vice counters with a nice uppercut.
Takahashi scores with a nice head shot.
It looks like Miami Vice has been cut.
Vice scores with a hook.
Takahashi scores with a kick to the midsection.
Vice swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Takahashi misses with a right hand
enabling Vice to counter with a crisp jab.
Some bone on bone action there as Takahashi checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
And Takahashi counters with a quick kick to the body but Vice blocks it.
Vice closes the distance but Takahashi moves to the side
and Takahashi counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Takahashi throws a combination that misses
and Vice counters with a nice leg kick.
Vice scores with a jab. Takahashi acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Takahashi tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Vice fails in his attempt to clinch.
Takahashi feinted there with a counter leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vice looks to land a combination. Takahashi sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Ryoto Takahashi has been cut.
Vice throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A little feinted left hand from Takahashi on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Takahashi throws an off balance right hand
and Vice counters with a three punch combo that has Takahashi backing up. Takahashi nods at Vice to acknowledge the strikes.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Vice misses with a left hand
and Takahashi counters with a good low kick that Vice was not able to check.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Takahashi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Takahashi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nice shot lands for Takahashi.

Vice misses with a shot to the body

and Takahashi counters with a head kick that drops Vice to the mat! Vice scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Takahashi ducks under a wild hook from Vice.
Vice fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Takahashi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Vice counters with a nice uppercut.
Takahashi blocks a jab.
Takahashi swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Takahashi misses the body punch
and Vice counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Vice throws a low kick but it's checked well by Takahashi.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nice uppercut lands for Takahashi. That snapped Vice's head back.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vice misses with a jab to the body
and Takahashi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Takahashi misses with an uppercut
and Vice cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Vice throws a looping overhand right but Takahashi ducks down to avoid it.
Vice throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Takahashi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That has opened up Miami Vice's cut even more.
Vice uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Miami Vice dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

An inside leg kick from Vice misses.
A counter left hand to the body from Takahashi misses its target.
Vice tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Takahashi is able to avoid easily.
Vice fails with an attempt to clinch.
Vice swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Takahashi counters with a crisp one two that drops Vice! Takahashi thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Vice to his feet! Vice is in big trouble!
Vice is rocked!
Takahashi sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Vice's defenses. It connects perfectly with Vice's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ryoto Takahashi!
A very excited looking Ryoto Takahashi made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
