The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Impaler throws a looping overhand right but Kong ducks down to avoid it.
Impaler closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kong circles away.
Impaler blocks a head kick by Kong.
Impaler misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Kong instigates a clinch.
Impaler is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Qing Kong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vlad Impaler.
Kong lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

It looks like Vlad Impaler has been cut.

Kong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Impaler feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Vlad Impaler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kong. That's going to slow Impaler down.
Qing Kong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Whack! Kong lands a heavy head kick that drops Impaler. The ref tackles Kong to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Impaler was done.

Black throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Durrani's waist but Durrani gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Black off to one side.

Black tries to close the distance and clinch but Durrani swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Durrani feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Black sprawling to the canvas! Black rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Durrani finish him?!
