Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torres's entrance music is "Twist of Cain" by Danzig. A fine choice. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Thiago Alvarez was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Torres as he avoids it easily.
Alvarez looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Alvarez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Torres has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alvarez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Alvarez drops back looking for a leg! Torres is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Torres manages to kick Alvarez off! Alvarez jumps back into Torres's guard.
Torres might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Torres had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Alvarez is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Torres Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Alvarez's back instead.

Torres is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Alvarez is defending well though. Torres let's go of the attempt for now.
Torres could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Undercard bout

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shane Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Gracia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Gracia's choice of entrance music: Hero. Shane Velasquez had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Bruno Gracia will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brasil is looking to clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Brasil is looking to break free of the clinch but Fox has double underhooks.
Brasil prevents Fox from breaking the clinch.
Brasil takes a shot to the head.
Brasil goes for a takedown in the clinch but Fox prevents it.
Brasil tries to pull guard but Fox won't allow it.
Brasil swings wildly with an uppercut but Fox uses good head movement to avoid it.
Brasil goes for a takedown attempt but Fox pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
