A telegraphed right hand from Smolarek misses the target.
Gordon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Smolarek.
Smolarek keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Gordon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gordon lands in his opponent's guard.

Kapustka doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Van Den Broeck keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ominous Odinson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
One tries to clinch there but Odinson circles away.
Odinson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A jab lands there for Odinson.
Odinson missing with a left hand there. One was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
One is looking to counter the offense by Odinson and move into the clinch.
Odinson connects with the punch.
One is rocked!
One tries to close the distance and clinch up but Odinson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Odinson let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Oh One is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
One wants to clinch but Odinson slips to the side
and Odinson counters with a nice uppercut.

One seems to have got his legs back now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

One clinches up against the cage.

Odinson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Odinson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps One's head backwards.
Odinson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but One circles away quickly and effectively.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Odinson swats away the attempt to clinch by One.
Odinson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
One misses with a wild combination.
The fight stays on the outside here - One looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Odinson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Odinson motions for One to come forward. Odinson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Autobot One seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

One closes the distance and clinches.
One swings wildly with an uppercut but Odinson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Odinson pushes One back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
One goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Odinson throws a punch but it's blocked by One.

I was talking to One's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Odinson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Odinson manages to break the clinch.
One tries to close the distance and clinch but Odinson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Odinson! But no joy.

One clinches up with Odinson and pushes him back against the cage.
One's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Odinson blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Odinson lands a nice shot to the body.
Odinson misses with a punch to the body.
One fails to pull guard.
Odinson throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Odinson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
One blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ominous Odinson dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

One closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Odinson throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
One swings for the body but Odinson moves out of range.
One steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Odinson.

and Odinson counters with a crisp right hand that drops One! Odinson lets One back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A looping hook to the body misses from Odinson. One does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Odinson counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks One out cold! What a finish! Odinson is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

Our winner, Ominous Odinson, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
