The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rick instigates a clinch.

Pignon is trying to push Rick away but Rick has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Rick throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Pignons head.
Rick is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Rick breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Rick closes the distance and pushes Pignon back into the cage.

Rick circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Pignon drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Rick follows Pignon to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

and Houssein counters with a shoot takedown. Tyk fights it but they end up in guard.
Houssein wants to control from the top but Tyk keeps moving.

Houssein postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Tyk is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Houssein , into his guard.


Tyk stands up from Houssein 's guard - Tyk perhaps looking for a knockout.

Tyk feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

This has been an exciting period of action!
