Combs shoots in for a takedown but Tessmacher shows good takedown defense.

Tessmacher wants to stand and escape. He's got his foot on Combs's hips, looking to push off. But Combs grabs a hold of the leg and drops back for an ankle lock! It's hard to tell if he's got it. Both fighters look composed - OH, not anymore they don't! Tessmacher screams like a kid who's trapped his fingers in the car door and taps out! Yikes, that must have hurt - hopefully it's not snapped anything!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Heel Hook). Timothy Combs!
After the fight, Timothy Combs was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
