Undercard bout

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rajon Rondo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Pablo Escobar has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Pablo Escobar seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escobar throws a combination. Rondo tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Rajon Rondo has been cut.
Rondo looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Escobar has control of Rondo 's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rondo regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Escobar is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rondo is surviving well by controlling Escobar's body position as best he can.

Clapper throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Iwanowicz was covering up waiting for the punch and Clapper finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Clapper drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Iwanowicz manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Clapper has Iwanowicz in his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Iwanowicz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Clapper has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Iwanowicz has managed to get both his arms back between Clapper's legs - danger averted.

Clapper had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Iwanowicz defends it easily.

Clapper escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Iwanowicz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Clapper might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Iwanowicz kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Clapper has his foot on Iwanowicz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Iwanowicz works his way back into a safe position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Clapper has his foot on Iwanowicz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Iwanowicz works his way back into a safe position though.

Carter is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Drew is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Drew is squirming around, avoiding Carter's attempts to control the action.
Drew really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Carter is working for a rear naked choke. Drew is not defending it well and Carter has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Drew refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Drew's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
