Kwondo is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Rodri is trying to escape and Kwondo transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Rodri is forced to tap! Nice work there by Kwondo! Very nice indeed!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redmond connects with a body shot that sends Ladd's belly button to the back.

Ladd looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Redmond looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Redmond pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Redmond let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Ashton Ladd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Redmond gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Ladd looks to land a left hand but Redmond moved out of range nicely.
