Rubble has chosen Flux Pavilion x Feed Me - Survive (feat. meesh) as his entrance music. Detritus Rubble told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brunson shoots in looking for a takedown. Bashir tries to sprawl out of it but Brunson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bashir manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Brunson has a takedown stuffed.

Bashir feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bashir jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

A relieved looking Julian Bashir thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Cruz changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Cruz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cruz swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Nomura has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Cruz throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A little jabbing left from Nomura on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Nomura lands a right hand.
Nomura tries to throw a body punch but Cruz avoids it by throwing Nomura back against the cage.
Nomura tries to pull guard but Cruz holds him up against the cage and eventually Nomura drops back down to his feet.

Nomura shoots for a double leg takedown but Cruz sprawls well. He's pushed Nomura's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A quick step to the side and Cruz tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Danny Cruz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tadahiro Nomura.
Nomura cracks Cruz with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
It looks like Danny Cruz has been cut.
Nomura takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Nomura is rocked!
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Cruz throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Nomura is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

An out of breath Danny Cruz thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
