The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crowder lands a leg kick that knocks Daugherty off balance momentarily.
We've been informed that Daugherty has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Daugherty dives in and grabs Crowder's left leg, looking for a takedown. Crowder pushes down on Daugherty's head and hops out.
Crowder fires out a quick counter leg kick but Daugherty just manages to avoid it.
Daugherty throws a leg kick but Crowder moved away.
Daugherty uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Crowder.

Crowder fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Daugherty, pushing him back against the cage.
Crowder works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Crowder lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Daugherty backwards.
Crowder gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Daugherty.
Daugherty has Crowder pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Crowder manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Boyd Crowder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of McCauley Daugherty.
