Waiting blocks a head kick by Dillininger.

Waiting shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Dillininger wants to stand up but Waiting is controlling him.

Dillininger looking for a guillotine here but Waiting defends easily.
Waiting stands and throws Dillininger's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Dillininger knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Waiting on the ground.

Waiting is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dillininger has escaped the position, nice work there.
Dillininger really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Waiting has hold of Dillininger's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Dillininger tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Waiting cranks the arm and Dillininger screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Dillininger, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slivers scores with a hook to the body. Penn takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Slivers lands with a hook. Penn tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Jab from Slivers.
Penn's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Slivers connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Penn scrambles back to his feet.
Slivers fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Penn looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Penn takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Donk. Slivers catches Penn right on the button with a cross.
Slivers ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Penn changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Slivers looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Penn is working to tighten his grip on Slivers's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Slivers has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Penn is really squeezing tight and eventually Slivers passes out! Penn breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Messiah Penn!
A less than humble Messiah Penn misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.

Contreras got a little sloppy there for a moment and Peto has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Contreras has managed to get both his arms back between Peto's legs - danger averted.

Kostaja cracks Dennis with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Kostaja has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Dennis to stand back up!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dennis gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Kostaja gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
