Undercard bout


Charles Jackson had a terrible time trying to make weight. After initially coming in at 150.0, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. Stepping on the scales for a second time, he still failed to make the required weight and after much deliberation, his fight with Steven Maxwell was cancelled.

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Robo Sixteenthethird (ranked 3563 p4p, 3532 weight class) and Darko Doncic (ranked 271 p4p, 269 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Robo Sixteenthethird has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Robo Sixteenthethird seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Sixteenthethird looks to land a combination. Doncic sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

and Doncic counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Sixteenthethird has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Doncic can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from LaFleur in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Fontes flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Schwarzenegger anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Fontes and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Schwarzenegger slips an arm under Fontes chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Schwarzenegger has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Schwarzenegger is squeezing on Fontes like an anaconda would it's prey. Fontes fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
