The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lang tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Thibodeaux swivels and escapes.
Lang throws a head kick that misses.
Lang fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Fortune Thibodeaux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lang tries to clinch
and Thibodeaux counters with a nice body shot.
Lang shoots in for a takedown but Thibodeaux shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Craig Long Lang. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lang misses with a double jab.
Thibodeaux dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Lang fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Thibodeaux to the ground. Lang is now in Thibodeaux's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Thibodeaux can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lang is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Thibodeaux's shoulder. That is not cool.

Thibodeaux is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Thibodeaux parries the strikes from Lang easily there. Lang is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Thibodeaux to escape.
Lang has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lang is trying to get an arm triangle but Thibodeaux is defending well.
Thibodeaux wants to get back to his feet but Lang drags him back down.

Thibodeaux tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Lang tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Lang unloads with some shots from mount but Thibodeaux bucks and avoids them well.
Lang lands with some strikes.
Lang controlling his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lang takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Lang is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Thibodeaux has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Thibodeaux is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Lang takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That was a close round but I would say that Craig Long Lang will probably get the nod.

Craig Long Lang overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Thibodeaux wants to stand but Lang is controlling the position.
Lang is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Lang has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Lang gets to his feet - Thibodeaux follows without any prompting.
Lang looks to clinch
and Thibodeaux counters with a stiff right hand.
Craig Long Lang is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Thibodeaux fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lang, pushing him back against the cage.
Thibodeaux lands an elbow just above Lang 's eye.
Thibodeaux gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Thibodeaux lands an elbow that stopped Lang in his tracks for a moment.
Thibodeaux lands an uppercut.
Lang wants a takedown but no success here.

Thibodeaux comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Thibodeaux working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Thibodeaux lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lang is trying to drag Thibodeaux to the mat but Thibodeaux just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Thibodeaux creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Lang's defenses.
Lang tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Thibodeaux just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Craig Long Lang. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lang jumps guard but Thibodeaux turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Lang tries to pull guard but Thibodeaux won't allow it.
Lang jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Thibodeaux walks away with a smile on his face. Lang gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Thibodeaux lands a big head kick that sends Lang tumbling to the mat! Thibodeaux takes a step backwards and waves Lang back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Lang is rocked!

Thibodeaux drops Lang with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lang looks back up at him and smiles so Thibodeaux waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Lang is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Thibodeaux throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Thibodeaux rushes Lang and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Thibodeaux lands with a left to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Thibodeaux lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Lang backwards.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Thibodeaux.
A battle for position here, against the cage.

Thibodeaux lands a vicious elbow to the side of Lang's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Thibodeaux tries to finish him with strikes but Lang still seems able to defend himself so Thibodeaux steps back and lets Lang get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.
Thibodeaux flashes Lang a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Lang's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Lang crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Thibodeaux punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

Braddock throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Crusader throws a left and a right that both miss

and Braddock counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Crusader is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Braddock successfully pulls guard.
Crusader pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Braddock is keeping the position for now.
Braddock manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Crusader manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Braddock drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Braddock as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Crusader screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Braddock! Nice submission victory there!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sankari enables Thomas to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sankari manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Sankari is looking to stand back up but Thomas counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Sankari.
Sankari looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!


Thomas is trying for a kimura here. Sankari looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Thomas wins by kimura!
