Horrible takedown attempt by James or perhaps it was just good defense by Hendricks, which made it look bad.
Hendricks throws a big counter head kick but James avoids it with no problem.
James looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hendricks is fending him off so far but James persists. Nope, Hendricks circles away and we're back to standing.
Richard James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

James darts in and clinches Hendricks up against the cage.

James will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Hendricks up against the cage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hendricks clobbers James with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
James blocks a head kick by Hendricks.
Hendricks takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
James tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hendricks defends well and James ends up having to push Hendricks into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
