The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Igwe loads up on a big right hand but Kaveri slips the punch.
Igwe tests Kaveri's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Matto Kaveri has been cut.
Igwe scores with the left hand. Kaveri knows he should have avoided that one.
Kaveri shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Igwe sprawls well. Igwe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kaveri gets slowly back to his feet.
Igwe slaps away a takedown attempt from Kaveri, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kaveri ducks under a wild hook from Igwe.
And Kaveri tries to counter it with a takedown but Igwe pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Kaveri fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Igwe avoids it really well and circles away.
Shaquiel Igwe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matto Kaveri.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Igwe darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Kaveri shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Igwe pinned against the ropes. Igwe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Igwe feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kaveri sprawling to the canvas! Kaveri rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Igwe finish him?!

That has opened up Matto Kaveri's cut even more.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Igwe lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Kaveri up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Igwe from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Kaveri's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Meiers fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
McIntosh lands a right hook to the body.
We've been told by McIntosh's head coaches at Vancouver Island Fight Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
McIntosh lands a lovely overhand right.
Meiers dives in for a single leg takedown but McIntosh sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.
An attempted straight right counter from McIntosh misses the target.
McIntosh cracks a nice hook into Meiers's ribs.
Meiers shoots in but no luck this time.
Bobby McIntosh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dadzis Meiers.
McIntosh lands with a hook. Meiers tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
McIntosh connects with a body shot that sends Meiers's belly button to the back.
Meiers closes the distance and clinches up with McIntosh, looking for a takedown. Meiers pushes McIntosh against the ropes but McIntosh circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McIntosh lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

McIntosh sends Meiers crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! McIntosh is motioning to the referee to let Meiers up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Meiers is rocked!
It looks like Dadzis Meiers has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McIntosh drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Meiers right on the button. Meiers goes down! McIntosh follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! McIntosh gets the win via TKO!

Collins shoots in looking for a takedown but Axelsen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Collins's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Collins takes a swing at Axelsen's ribcage but misses.
Axelsen looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Collins throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Axelsen.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Axelsen! But no joy.

Loke Axelsen decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
