Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stephan Risi (ranked 5692 p4p, 5160 weight class) and Gage Hurt (ranked 524 p4p, 507 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Risi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Where Rainbows Never Die - The Steeldrivers. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

and Risi counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hurt thinking.
Hurt throws a lazy uppercut
and Risi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Risi uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hurt.
Hurt swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Risi slips under a jab from Hurt.
And Risi counters with a quick kick to the body but Hurt blocks it.
Hurt throws out a loose jab but Risi uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hurt stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Risi.
Risi stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

and Hurt takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hurt is rocked!
A combination from Risi does no damage.
Hurt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Risi was well out of range. Poor timing from Hurt.
Risi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hurt on the side of the head.

Risi lands a left and a right that send Hurt crashing to the mat, dazed. Risi thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Hurt is still on wobbly legs! Can Risi finish him?

and Risi counters with a nice body shot.
Risi stuns Hurt with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hurt takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hurt get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Hurt stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Risi runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Stephan Risi!
As Stephan Risi got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: I'm here for my family. For my wife. For my daughter. To give them as good a life as I can. So long as I'm here, I'll spill whatever blood makes that happen. They fuel me, and this is for them.'.
