The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anstey manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Girard on his heels. He'll look to pass Girard's guard now, I'm sure.
Anstey controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Girard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Anstey is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Girard wants to get back to his feet but Anstey is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Anstey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
