Van Borgil tries for a takedown but Merkovic sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Merkovic enables Van Borgil to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Merkovic manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
