The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montanari fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Aliev.

and Montanari counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Aliev doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Montanari lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Aliev shoots in for a takedown but Montanari shows good takedown defense.
Montanari stalks Aliev and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Aliev's face. Aliev staggers backwards, shaken.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Xla Noman had a terrible time trying to make weight. After initially coming in at 173.6, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. Stepping on the scales for a second time, he still failed to make the required weight and after much deliberation, his fight with Marco Juncker was cancelled.
