The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Deaky darts in and clinches Semyonov up against the cage.
Semyonov tries to throw a body punch but Deaky avoids it by throwing Semyonov back against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Deaky.
Deaky throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Semyonovs head.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Deaky takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Semyonov blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Deaky lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Semyonov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Semyonov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Deaky got a little sloppy there for a moment and Semyonov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Deaky has managed to get both his arms back between Semyonov's legs - danger averted.

Schmidt fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bowman sprawls well initially but Schmidt persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bowman manages to get to full guard.
Bowman can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Schmidt controls the pace.
