The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erceg leaves Pinto with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Erceg throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Pinto.
Pinto is looking to clinch but Erceg is avoiding it.
Pinto shoots for a takedown but Erceg saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Salamies seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stokowski does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
