The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shannon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Roth moves away.
Roth takes a swing at Shannon's ribcage but misses.
Shannon looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Roth rushes Shannon and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Roth really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A body shot lands from Roth.
Roth lands a left hand.

Shannon pulls guard successfully.
Roth keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Shannon's head.

Roth stands and steps away. Shannon gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
