Hamburgo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kovacs gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalczyk throws out a loose jab but Lingxin uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kowalczyk feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lingxins jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
It looks like Zheng Lingxin has been cut.
Lingxin waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kowalczyk.
Lingxin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lingxin blocks a jab.
Lingxin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kowalczyk seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Lingxin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kowalczyk seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Kowalczyk checks a leg kick.
Kowalczyk chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lingxin can pounce on him.

Kowalczyk wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters circling - Kowalczyk throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Lingxin misses with a looping right.
Kowalczyk rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lingxin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Lingxin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Kowalczyk is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lingxin.
Lingxin flicks out a counter leg kick but Kowalczyk steps away.
Kowalczyk misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lingxin.
Lingxin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A combination from Lingxin does no damage.
Lingxin misses the body punch
and Kowalczyk makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Lingxin tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kowalczyk stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
A left hand lands to the body for Kowalczyk.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Kowalczyk.
Kowalczyk lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
That has opened up Zheng Lingxin's cut even more.
Kowalczyk lands with a light punch inside.
Kowalczyk pushes Lingxin back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Kowalczyk throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Kowalczyk is leaning against Lingxin and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Kowalczyk creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Lingxin's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Lingxin drops to his knees and Kowalczyk pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
