The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pogie shoots in looking for a takedown but Brogan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pogie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Pogie's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pogie's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Pogie drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brogan is trying to control Pogie's posture but Pogie avoids it.
