The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pogie shoots in looking for a takedown but Brogan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pogie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Pogie's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pogie's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Pogie drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brogan is trying to control Pogie's posture but Pogie avoids it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitcheck goes for a double leg but Mike avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mike continues to drive forward.
Mitcheck closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
It looks like Boyko Mitcheck has been cut.
Mitcheck walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Mike slaps away a takedown attempt from Mitcheck, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Mitcheck dives in and grabs Mike's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mike pushes down on Mitcheck's head and hops out.
Crazy Mike has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boyko Mitcheck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mike connects with a crisp jab.
Mike slips under a jab from Mitcheck.
An attempted straight right counter from Mike misses the target.
Mike lands a big uppercut and Mitcheck crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Mitcheck looks OK. Mike waves Mitcheck back to his feet!
Mitcheck is rocked!

Mitcheck throws a hook but Mike avoids it easily.
Mike is looking to counter punch.
Mitcheck is still on wobbly legs! Can Mike finish him?
Mitcheck steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mike.
Mitcheck seems to have recovered his senses.
Mitcheck takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Mitcheck shoots in for a takedown but Mike shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mike is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Mike comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Mike lands a big right hand that sends Mitcheck crashing to the mat! Mike stays standing though and waves Mitcheck back to his feet!
That has opened up Boyko Mitcheck's cut even more.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mike ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Mitcheck's jaw. Mitcheck's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Mike does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
