The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bunghole shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gardner's guard.

Bunghole stands and steps away. Gardner gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Bunghole is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gardner's half guard.
Gardner wants to get back to full guard.
Gardner is controlling Bunghole's trapped leg to prevent Bunghole from advancing to side control.
Gardner makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gardner.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Gardner holds on and takes a little breather.

Gardner has his foot on Bunghole's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bunghole works his way back into a safe position though.

Bunghole gets to his feet - Gardner follows without any prompting.

Gardner has clasped his hands together around Bunghole's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Bunghole reaches up around Gardner's neck trying to control. But Gardner takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Bunghole! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Bunghole is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Gardner celebrates the victory with the fans!

Rank has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

and Hancock counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Rank trying to get back to full guard but Hancock takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hancock lands a big shot there that rocks Rank but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Hancock lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Hancock winds up and cracks Rank with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Hancock seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rank does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hancock might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rank haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hancock lands a nice short elbow.

Satoshi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jefferson.
Satoshi misses with a head kick.
Jefferson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
It looks like Rover Satoshi has been cut.
Jefferson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Satoshi. That one must have hurt.
Satoshi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jefferson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Jefferson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Satoshi.
Satoshi throws a fast counter high kick but Jefferson manages to duck under it in time.
Jefferson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Satoshi throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Jefferson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Satoshi can pounce on him.
Jefferson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Satoshi defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jefferson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Satoshi throws the kick towards the body but Jefferson avoids it.
Jefferson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Satoshis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Jefferson goes for a double leg but Satoshi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Satoshi continues to drive forward.
Satoshi is trying to counter with his kicks.

Jefferson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fighters circling - Jefferson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Rover Satoshi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Satoshi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jefferson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Jefferson is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
