The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jimenez throws a body punch but Evans moves out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Evans throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jimenez tries to counter with a takedown but Evans is quick to defend against it.
Jimenez swings and misses with a hook to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Jimenez is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Evans can't fight it off and eventually Jimenez manages to take the fight to the floor. Evans looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jimenez postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Evans on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Evans doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pho Hunna.

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paul Eclaro (ranked 637 p4p, 737 weight class) and Big Daddy (ranked 50 p4p, 57 weight class). Eclaro comes to the cage accompanied by I'm The Boy. Big Daddy told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Eclaro is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Daddy reverses the position - he's now on top in Eclaro's guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Daddy connects with a nice short shot to Eclaro's temple.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Daddy lands a nice short elbow.
Eclaro is looking for a sweep. Daddy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Daddy moves into full mount! Eclaro won't be happy about that!
Eclaro wants to control but Daddy is having none of it.
Eclaro is wriggling around trying to escape.
Eclaro is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Eclaro bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Eclaro lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Daddy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Daddy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Eclaro with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Eclaro slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Daddy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Eclaro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Daddy has managed to get both his arms back between Eclaro's legs - danger averted.

Daddy is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Eclaro has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Daddy is looking to defend but Eclaro has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Daddy! Eclaro pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Daddy taps out and this one is all over!
