The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Davis fails with an attempt to clinch.

Frost darts in and clinches Davis up against the cage.
Frost is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Davis is defending well.
Davis tries to throw a body punch but Frost avoids it by throwing Davis back against the cage.
Davis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Frost walks away with a smile on his face. Davis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Davis looks to land a combination but Frost avoids it well.
Frost circles away from the clinch attempt.

Frost clinches.
Frost jumps guard but Davis turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Davis has had enough of the clinch but Frost keeps him there for the moment.

Frost turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Frost manages to end up in side control.

Frost wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Davis, who protects the arm well.
Davis felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alexander Frost.

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Augier De Rabat (ranked 4138 p4p, 5602 weight class) and Seung Woo Choi (ranked 269 p4p, 336 weight class). De Rabat kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Marche des Templiers. Seung Woo Choi told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Choi tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - De Rabat cranks the arm and Choi screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Choi, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
