I think Briggs might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Stepping Razor by Peter Tosh. Macka Briggs has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Macka Briggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joshua Whitlock!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitlock lands a jab to Briggs's midsection.
Whitlock throws a hook but Briggs blocks it.
Whitlock throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Briggs connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Joshua Whitlock has been cut.
Whitlock scoring well with a low kick there.
Whitlock takes a jab right on the kisser.
Whitlock misses with a looping left.
Whitlock scores with a body shot.
Briggs lands with an overhand left.
Briggs misses with a hook.
Briggs misses with an uppercut. Whitlock saw that one coming.
Whitlock throws out a counter right but Briggs avoids it with no problem.
Briggs is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Briggs stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Whitlock throws a body shot but no joy.
Whitlock misses with a few strikes there.
Whitlock throws an off balance right hand
and Briggs counters with a nice uppercut.
Whitlock lands with a straight right. Briggs didn't see that one coming.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Briggs throws a shot from downtown. Whitlock moves away and avoids it.
Briggs tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Whitlock counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Whitlock takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Whitlock is rocked!

Briggs has taken the fight to the clinch.
Whitlock is still on wobbly legs! Can Briggs finish him?
Briggs cracks Whitlock with a big elbow, right in the eye socket! Whitlock drops to his knees in obvious pain! The referee starts the count but it's plainly obvious that Whitlock isn't going to get back to his feet. The referee counts none the less and Briggs struts around the mat, safe in the knowledge that this one is over. A big win for Briggs!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Elbows). Macka Briggs!
A very excited looking Macka Briggs made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
