The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saxo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lazzar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Saxo somewhat.
Saxo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lazzar paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lazzar keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Saxo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lazzar.
Lazzar fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

It looks like Peter Saxo has been cut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Saxo.
Saxo fails with the takedown.
Keenan Lazzar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Saxo.
Lazzar cracks Saxo on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Saxo falls backwards against the cage. Lazzar follows up with more strikes that drop Saxo to his knees. Lazzar keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Saxo! This one is all over!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gracie rushes Vedita and presses him up against the cage.
Gracie keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Vedita's efforts to push away.
Vedita is looking to break free of the clinch but Gracie has double underhooks.
Vedita wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gracie has him pressed against the cage.

Vedita escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vedita but Vedita pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Gracie dives in and grabs Vedita's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vedita pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Gracie gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Gracie apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Vedita keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Vedita closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gracie manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Vedita looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Vedita drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Gracie is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Vedita off and has taken his back!

Gracie is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Vedita has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Gracie doesn't have the hooks in and Vedita manages to turn into his guard.
