Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bear lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rekker has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rekker and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Bear.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bear, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Burton has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bundy.

That has opened up Jack Burton's cut even more.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

so Bundy counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Burton looking to control.

Bundy trying to control but Burton is working from the bottom.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Burton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bundy defends well.
Bundy with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Alan Bundy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bundy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Burton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bundy has managed to get both his arms back between Burton's legs - danger averted.

Burton controls Bundy momentarily but Bundy frees himself.
Burton is breathing heavily.
Bundy advances to half guard.
Bundy looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Bundy works his foot free and advances to mount.

Bundy working for a submission but Burton is keeping him at bay.
Bundy scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Burton?
Bundy pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Bundy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Burton is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Bundy cracks Burton with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bundy won't let Burton get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Burton wants to hold on but Bundy pushes him away.
Burton is desperately trying to improve his position but Bundy has a good base and remains in mount.

Burton is wriggling around trying to escape.
Bundy landing strikes from the mount and Burton is in trouble!
Bundy with shots to the head and body - Burton looks very uncomfortable down there.

The cut above Jack Burton's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bundy cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Burton is rocked!

Jack Burton's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jack Burton's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Alan Bundy!
Alan Bundy retains his welterweight title!
