The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Prime.
Nansen ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Prime with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Prime lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Percy Prime seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nansen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Prime lands a nice shot to the body.
Prime throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Percy Prime is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Prime throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Prime has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Nansen to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Prime is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Nansen pulls down on the head and he's put Prime to sleep! This one is all over!

The crowd seem to be enjoying Wiltsie's choice of entrance music: Mein Herz Brennt. BJ Fenn had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Robert Wiltsie is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Meningitis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Draxx's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Draxx's back!

Draxx is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Meningitis gets his way!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Rodey.
Rodey on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Lao ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rodey moves away.
Rodey moves out of range as Lao strikes.
No luck for Lao with that takedown attempt.
Lao connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rodey. Rodey circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Lao decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Lao looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rodey wants to improve his position but Lao is controlling well.

Rodey is looking to control Lao's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rodey avoid being mounted?
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rodey can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lao is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Rodey is trying to maintain the position but Lao is very close to passing his half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rodey avoids a series of strikes thrown by Lao.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lao avoids the attempt from Rodey to control.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rodey is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Lao swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Rodey is now in Lao's guard. A big mistake from Lao there, giving up the dominant position!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rodey is pressing down on Lao's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lao is holding on for now.
Rodey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lao. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rodey drops Lao with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Lao! Rodey dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
