It was great event and fantastic title fight, congratulations guys :). I feel that Heraldo and Kurt will meet again fighting for that belt.

Kurt Schindler's Post-Fight Press Conference Comments: "It was a great fight. Everyone is telling me that it was one of the best if not the best title fight in Overcoming's history. I gained respect for Magnifico as a fighte but I still can't stand his attitude and our beef is not over. He said in his post fight interview that I was no match for him, well I was winning the fight going into the championship rounds. I took him down in four out of the five rounds and every time the bell had to save his sorry ass because he never got back to his feet himself after any of those takedowns. He said before the fight that I would not take him down but obviously that was not the case. I relied on my grappling just like he relied on his striking. It was a striker vs grappler match-up and maybe he should go work on his takedown defence because we will fight again and he will get taken down again in that fight just like he did on many occasions in this one. Magnifico won this one by the skin of his teeth but I am not done with him yet. I will be back and I will become the Overcoming lightweight champion one day soon".

Heraldo Magnifico post fight: "That was a nice fight. If the guy would focus on getting some stand up skills intead of relying solely on his ground game, he might have a shot at becoming.. Better or something. Has to be embarrassing for him though, flipped him around twice on the ground .. Superior wrestler my ass, he was no match. He can now fight Melo in the lower ranks where he belongs. Unless he goes back to McDonalds for re-employment"

I've been asked to release a statement, since Heraldo didnt felt like he needed to show to the pre fight conference; "Melo was a walk over. That guy was a joke, simple as that. You will have your shot against him, but it wont be in a title defence. My TDD has improved tremendously since the fight with Melo, so even though you might have a little better wrestling than me, I dont see you taking me down. I see me, as always, using my opponent as a punching bag"

Kurt Schindler's Pre-Fight Press Conference Quotes: Reporter "Kurt, you have had some bad blood previously with Felipe Melo. Is that something that you would like to resolve in the future after this fight". Schindler "Right now I'm just thinking about Heraldo Magnifico and the ass whoopin that I'm gonna give him on Sunday, but yes, Melo and I have some unfinished business to settle and I will deal with him soon. I hope he wins his next fight to put him in line to challenge me for the belt after I beat Magnifico". Reporter "I have a question for Kurt Schinlder. Kurt, your opponent Heraldo Magnifico has stated that he wasn't impressed with your decision win over Rich Harew. What do you think about that and were you impressed with his win over Felipe Melo at that same event". Schindler "Rich Harew is a very tough fighter who has never been finished and has only lost to me and Felipe Melo. I got caught with a big right hand early on which cut me but I showed the heart and toughness to turn the fight around and dominate him in the second and third rounds. I don't think that Magnifico has that kind of toughness and he is going to quit when I make this a dogfight and push him into the later rounds. His win over Melo was a good performance, but Melo is basically a one dimensional jiu-jitsu guy and he didn't have the wrestling that I have to take Magnifico down". Reporter "What are your thoughts on Magnifico's skillset and do you see any weaknesses of his that you think you can exploit". Schindler "I definately see weaknesses in his game and in his mindset. He likes to wall and stall in the clinch a lot and he criticised me for going the distance with Rich Harew but he has more decision wins than I have. I don't want to give away to much about my gameplan but I'll just say this, his white belt ground game just isn't gonna cut it".
