The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Medvedev drops Marcus with a big left hand and mounts him. Marcus is in big trouble!

Marcus is rocked!

It looks like Marcellus Marcus has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Medvedev trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Oh Marcus is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Medvedev is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Marcus keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Medvedev.

Marcus shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Medvedev's guard.
Marcus lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Marcus seems to have got his legs back now.
Marcus wanted to stand there but Medvedev had control of the position.
Medvedev can't keep his opponent in guard - Marcus advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Marcus is taking a breather. Medvedev says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Marcus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Marcus slips a nice elbow through Medvedev's hands, connecting with Medvedev's forehead.
Medvedev is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Marcus scores with a couple of nice shots.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Marcus connects with a nice short shot to Medvedev's temple.

Medvedev is trying to escape back to his feet but Marcus uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Marcus tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Marcus has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Medvedev is pushing Marcus 's head away, looking to escape. Marcus manages to hold on to the position though.
Marcus controlling from side mount.
Medvedev is looking to get back to his feet here but Marcus is keeping cool and he's managed to take Medvedev's back.
Marcus throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Medvedev!

Marcus has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Medvedev wants to get back to his feet.

Medvedev is covering up but some of the strikes from Marcus are getting through and doing damage.

Marcus has Medvedev flattened out and is raining down punches.
