Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arturo Gallo (ranked 2892 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mykhail Medvedev (ranked 5393 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medvedev misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Medvedev throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gallo.
Gallo throws a push kick but Medvedev slaps the foot to one side.
Medvedev misses with a looping left.
Medvedev looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gallo is looking to counter the offense by Medvedev and move into the clinch.
Gallo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Medvedev connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gallo scrambles back to his feet.
Some wild striking there from Medvedev.
Gallo dodges the punch combination from Medvedev.
Gallo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Medvedev throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Medvedev misses with a straight left.
Medvedev rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gallo counters with a nice uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Medvedev throws a right and a left that Gallo avoids nicely.
Gallo moves away from the strike by Medvedev.

Gallo clinches up against the cage.
Medvedev tries to circle away but Gallo has him pinned against the cage.

Gallo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Medvedev uses from the top position.
Medvedev wanted to stand there but Gallo had control of the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gallo is on top in guard.

Medvedev is wriggling around but Gallo manages to pass to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gallo is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Gallo prevents Medvedev from standing back up.
Gallo throwing shots but Medvedev is blocking nicely.
Gallo slows the pace down in half guard.

Medvedev makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Nice straight punches there by Medvedev. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Medvedev.
Gallo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Medvedev lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Gallo drops his hands for a split second and Medvedev immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Gallo face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Medvedev follows up with a right hand that knocks Gallo into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
