Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cameron Johnson (ranked 5073 p4p, 465 weight class) and Brad Markzov (ranked 4575 p4p, 0 weight class). Markzov has chosen Enter Sandman - Metallica as his entrance music. Cameron Johnson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Johnson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Markzov changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Johnson seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Johnson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Markzov off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Markzov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Markzov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Johnson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Markzov scores with a couple of nice shots.
Johnson has hold of Markzov's hands but Markzov slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Markzov slips a nice elbow through Johnson's hands, connecting with Johnson's forehead.
Markzov is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Johnson is trying to stand up here but Markzov is controlling him well.
Markzov has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
