MacKenzie is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Mudvayne - Determined. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacKenzie avoids the body shot from mc cormac.

MacKenzie shoots in looking for a takedown. mc cormac tries to sprawl out of it but MacKenzie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. mc cormac manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

MacKenzie has control of mc cormac's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and mc cormac regains control of the situation pretty easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
MacKenzie postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. mc cormac looks a forlorn figure.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

MacKenzie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and mc cormac defends it well.
mc cormac is not content to let MacKenzie control the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

MacKenzie looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks mc cormac with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

MacKenzie is working to tighten is grip on mc cormac's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. mc cormac has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but MacKenzie is really squeezing tight and eventually mc cormac passes out! MacKenzie breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
