The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shields Jr shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lee eats them both and turns towards Shields Jr to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Shields Jr has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Lee shoots in for a takedown but Shields Jr shows good takedown defense.

That's time! Shields Jr's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Lee takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Shields Jr fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Lee shoots in for a double leg but Shields Jr sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shields Jr's waist but Shields Jr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lee off to one side.

Lee moves forwards but Shields Jr connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Shields Jr fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lee looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Shields Jr stuns Lee with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Lee is trying desperately to land a takedown but Shields Jr is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Lee.

Lee dives in and grabs Shields Jr's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shields Jr pushes down on Lee's head and hops out.

Lee is rocked!
Shields Jr stalks Lee and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lee's face. Lee staggers backwards, shaken.
Lee is still on wobbly legs! Can Shields Jr finish him?

and Shields Jr counters with a left and a right... And another left! Lee is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!

Jason Shields Jr decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
