Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spanky Loco (ranked 364 p4p, 55 weight class) and Jason Knight (ranked 2145 p4p, 278 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loco throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Knight is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Knight avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Loco looks to land a body kick but Knight moved away.
A nice side step and Knight releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

I was talking to Loco's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Loco jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Knight walks away with a smile on his face. Loco gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

It seemed like Knight was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Loco tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Knight manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Knight wants to get up but he can't break Loco's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Loco working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Knight doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Loco is tightening it up a little... Knight has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Knight reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Knight taps out! Nice BJJ there by Loco!
