PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alan Ragasatria (ranked 2119 p4p, 123 weight class) and Chael Bisping (ranked 1701 p4p, 89 weight class). Bisping has chosen Kasabian - Underdog as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chael Bisping!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bisping uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ragasatria has time to react.
Ragasatria looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Bisping works Ragasatria's body with a nice hook.
Bisping misses with a few strikes there.
Bisping jabs Ragasatria to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Ragasatria looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

It looks like Alan Ragasatria has been cut.
Ragasatria could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Bisping is refusing to be controlled, as Ragasatria sits in half guard.
Bisping looks like he's trying to stand up.
Ragasatria moves nicely into side control.
Ragasatria grinds an elbow into Bisping's temple.

Ragasatria wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bisping, who protects the arm well.
Ragasatria is looking to take a break and control but Bisping is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ragasatria is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bisping.
Chael Bisping seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ragasatria is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bisping knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Bisping is not content to let Ragasatria control the position.

Ragasatria goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bisping has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ragasatria but great work by Bisping.

Ragasatria is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Bisping off and has taken his back!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Ragasatria's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Bisping has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bisping is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Ragasatria off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Ragasatria is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Bisping defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Ragasatria slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Bisping is trying to get back to his feet but Ragasatria has full control of the position and if anything, Bisping has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Alan Ragasatria overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bisping is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Ragasatria gets his way!
