The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson throws a right and a left that Morgan avoids nicely.
A cross from Nelson lands.
Nelson throws a hook to the side of Morgan's head but Morgan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've been informed that Nelson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

and Morgan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Earle Nelson has been cut.
Nelson misses with a hook.

Nelson swings for the body but Morgan moves out of range.

and Morgan counters with a crisp right hand that drops Nelson! Morgan lets Nelson back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Morgan throws a lazy right hand but Nelson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
The fighters circle, before Morgan throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Nelson's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Morgan lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

In his post fight interview, Dexter Morgan started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
